Code First Girls

Code First Girls is on a mission to close the gender gap in the tech industry by providing employment through free education. We’ve already taught more than 150,000+ women to learn to code and by working with companies globally, we’re boosting employability, diversity and social mobility, transforming local economies and communities. But we want to go further – our aim is to provide one million opportunities for women to learn to code and participate in the industry in the next five years, becoming the world’s first EdTech unicorn dedicated to women.

Department of Computer Science at The University of Arizona

The Department of Computer Science has a vibrant history at the University of Arizona. With a top-notch faculty and student roster, we offer a world-class environment for learning and research where professors know the students by name and students begin research early, learning cutting-edge advances from the very people who discovered them. We currently have approximately 1500 undergraduate and 60 graduate students. The Department of Computer Science is preparing students to work in all areas of industry, research, and academia. We continuously improve our curriculum and student support services to ensure our students are ready to meet any challenges presented when they embark on their career. We are a diverse department that fosters innovation, creativity, and experimentation. The faculty consists of 19 tenure-track and 8 career-track members. The Department is growing and continues to seek dynamic faculty and graduate students that can contribute to the research and teaching missions of the University.

FIU Metropolitan Center

The Metropolitan Center is the leading urban “think tank” in South Florida and an applied research unit in the School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) at Florida International University. Since 1997 the Center has accumulated an impressive track record of local, regional and statewide public opinion and other types of survey research. The Center is engaged in the study of the demographics, economics and politics of South Florida. The overall goal of the Center is to provide decision-makers with the best possible information to forge solutions to the problems confronting South Florida's urban areas. Toward that goal, the Center provides research, training, and technical assistance to governmental and nonprofit organizations in South Florida.
