Manning Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine was established in August of 2006. We specialize in the treatment of sports and orthopedic related injuries. Patrick and Lisa Manning, a husband and wife team, are the owners. At Manning Physical Therapy and Sport Medicine, we take a one on one approach with each and every client. We offer a team of licensed physical therapists, physical therapist assistants and certified athletic trainers, providing a hands on approach with techniques including joint mobilization, myofascial release, and massage. We also offer a variety of treatment modalities including moist heat, electrical stimulation, ultrasound, cold laser therapy, vasopneumatic compression (Game Ready Ice Treatment), spinal mechanical traction, and iontophoresis. Manning Physical Therapy provides "Direct Access" treatment which allows patients to be evaluated and treated without a prescription or referral from your physician.

Community for Pittsburgh Ultimate

The Community for Pittsburgh Ultimate is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that promotes and organizes Ultimate Frisbee for all ages in the Greater Pittsburgh area, including Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Fayette, Lawrence, Westmoreland, and Washington counties.

Strength & Courage: Exercises for Breast Cancer Survivors

Strength & Courage, a non-profit effort, provides exercise resources to breast cancer survivors looking to regain physical and emotional strength after treatment. Our goal is to enable each woman to return to the life she knew before breast cancer. We do this by working directly with survivors and urging health care providers to make rehabilitation a priority in the treatment process. The Strength & Courage: Exercises for Breast Cancer Survivors DVD was developed by Dr. Sharon Cowden, a pediatrician avid golfer and breast cancer survivor, and Janette Poppenberg, a ACSM/ACS certified Cancer Exercise Trainer® certified by the American College of Sports Medicine to help women achieve a full recovery after breast cancer surgery.
