Our purpose is to put a stop to energy and efficiency waste in buildings. We are curious, forward thinking innovators that link intelligent software, big data and human expertise to provide self optimized and energy efficient buildings. We do that by combining AI and leading edge energy expertise. This results in a better indoor climate and lower energy consumption. And above all a lower carbon footprint and a more sustainable planet. It all started when innovator and technical engineer Thorbjörn Geiser discovered the huge energy inefficiency in most buildings’ climate control. All available systems used outdoor temperature to regulate indoor climate. No system took the building’s own possibility to store heat into account. No system was able to pro-act according to tomorrow’s weather. A reactive climate control system means energy waste and unnecessary CO2 emissions. Thorbjörn wanted to change that. So, he started up a collaboration with a weather institute and developed an adaptable software that optimized indoor climate and energy use based on the building’s physics and weather forecast. Today more than 250 000 apartments around Europe are optimized by EgainEdge, the leading cloud service for intelligent energy optimization. Uncountable energy and CO2 emissions have been prevented until today. And this is only the beginning. Tomorrow looks even brighter.
