The Lockwood Group is a family run business and currently has over 300 employees across 5 UK sites. The group’s activities include UK haulage and storage, co-pack and frozen food production. Established in 1965, frozen food business Lockwoods Ltd purchased a number of vehicles to deliver it’s frozen mushy peas. As refrigerated vehicles were a relatively new idea at the time and the peas required chilled deliveries this meant that deliveries were only made during the winter months during the cold weather.
