Access Books

Our mission is to provide quality, high-interest books to school, classroom and community libraries in the greater Southern California area. We provide books to inner-city schools where at least 90 percent of students live at or below the poverty line. Most students at the schools we serve are children of color and children of immigrants. Since 1999, Access Books has donated more than a million books in Southern California, and each year, approximately 18,000 pre-kindergarten through middle school-aged children participate in our program. So many inner-city children never leave the five block radius of their home. Books can give them another world.

14+ Foundation, Inc.

14+ Foundation, Inc. was co-founded in 2012 in New York City, USA by philanthropist and construction industry leader Joseph Mizzi and native Zambian Nchimunya Wulf to develop and build schools and orphanages for African children in rural communities. Our first project is the Chipakata Children's Academy.

EPIM (European Programme for Integration and Migration)

The European Programme for Integration and Migration (EPIM) is a collaborative initiative of European Foundations with the aim to strengthen the role played by civil society in influencing policy developments and advocate for constructive approaches to migrants in Europe. The Programme was set up in 2005 and is hosted by the Network of European Foundations (NEF). In June 2012, EPIM awarded 10 grants amounting to 2,200,000 EUR to NGO-led projects that aim to address urgent or contentious problems and have a high impact on European policy or practice. Grants focus on three priority areas: asylum-seekers, undocumented migrants and the equality, integration and social Inclusion of vulnerable migrants.
