The Electrical Industries Charity

The Electrical Industries Charity is the national charity for the electrical and energy industries. Supporting our people through life's challenges. Our mission is to look after all people from the electrical and energy industries whenever they or their families need help with life's challenges, whether big or small, at every stage of their lives. The Charity has a long association with our industries dating back to 1905 when The Electrical Trades Benevolent Institution was set up by ten leaders of the emerging electrical industry who felt a duty to help those in the industry in the event that "accident, infirmity, misfortune or old age, limited their activities or curtailed their means". The Charity changed its name to EEIBA - Electrical and Electronics Industries Benevolent Association in 1967". The world has changed since then, the electrical and energy industries have changed, and so has the original institution. In 2014 the new name - the Electrical Industries Charity - speaks of a more connected and energised organisation at the heart of its industries, delivering practical support and bringing the industries together to help their own. Jewish Child's Day

Jewish Child's Day is a grant making charity which has been helping children in need worldwide for over 70 years. Today over 19,000 Jewish children each year rely on us to save them from deprivation, disadvantage, abuse and neglect; to nurture them and offer them a better future. Many of the projects and organisations we support rely on grant funding to continue their work and have no other way of raising vital funds. Jewish Child's Day grants are awarded on the basis of strict criteria and may only be used to provide equipment or services that are of direct benefit to children under the age of 18 years. Grants may be used to provide wheelchairs and walking aids, educational and developmental equipment, therapy, support and rehabilitation programmes, hearing stimulus and communication equipment, respite holidays and outings, incubators, respirators, after school facilities, hot meals, home teaching for housebound children and much, much more. Jewish Child's Day is a pluralist organisation and does not provide any religious services or education. Grant funding delivered by Jewish Child's Day may benefit both Jewish and non-Jewish children in the UK, Israel and worldwide, through projects where the majority of beneficiaries are Jewish.

12R prizes is run by the Twelve Ronnies Foundation. Our mission is to create new ideas and solve problems that have an economic or societal benefit. We believe that the best way of doing this is by offering prizes to encourage ideas. Between the Twelve Ronnies, we have over 100 years' experience in successfully bringing ideas to market, as far reaching as IT to renewable energy and internet to bio-engineering. Ideas and innovation are in our DNA. We're looking for ideas from innovators, entrepreneurs, students, designers, tech enthusiasts, educators, doers and makers. This ongoing initiative will begin with three prizes of general interest. Competition challenges, prizes and formats will be formulated by the stakeholder committees which will include representatives from Twelve Ronnies alongside sponsors and judges. Sponsors: We have a prize fund in place for the opening competitions and are now looking to expand our sponsor base and engage with them in building the competition challenges, prizes and formats.

A Tribe Called Progress

A Tribe Called Progress is an initiative that supports the transitioning of small-scale community programmes into wider-reaching institutions. We believe that every community deserves the opportunity to produce extraordinary people. However, equal access to Education, Economic Opportunity, Housing, Health, Justice and Culture can be affected by ethnicity, gender, class, disability or sexuality. Local community leaders (change-makers) work tirelessly to bridge the gap, but passion alone cannot uplift everyone. ATCP curates and connects local change-makers with leading organisations to source expertise, support networks and mentorship. Our Building Institutions events focus on connecting change-makers' passion with your expertise & structure to up-skill and upscale community programmes into institutions capable of driving generational progress. To date ATCP has connected change-makers from across sectors with 700+ hours of expertise from professionals at leading organisations, including consultancy, marketing, fund raising and legal support. ATCP offers individuals and organisations the opportunity be the change they want to see in society.
