TALA Soccer Training is intentionally designed to create a positive, motivational learning environment where self-assessment meets facilitated training to identify and achieve individualized learning outcomes resulting in holistic player growth and development. TALA Soccer Training begins with the end in mind. Through individually designed goal-oriented sessions our coaches provide progressive training activities that are adaptive, holistic, and based on the principles of teaching and learning. Through our teaching and learning approach to player development, TALA Soccer Training is designed to encourage a love and passion for learning and playing the game through experiential, game like sessions that exercise the technical, tactical, physical, social, and cognitive pillars of soccer concurrently. The Mission of TALA Soccer Training is to provide a transformative soccer environment where players and coaches learn, develop, and improve through a cognitive approach to holistic player development.

Trenton Thunder

The Trenton Thunder have drawn over 10.9 million fans to Trenton Thunder Ballpark over 32 years and have won the three major awards that Minor League Baseball teams can win; the Johnson Trophy for the "Nation's Best Franchise", the Larry MacPhail Trophy for Outstanding Club Promotion and the Bob Frietas Award for Long-Term Success (given by Baseball America). The team has given back over $9.8 million worth of goods, services, and monetary donations through the Grand Slam We Care Foundation.

After owning and operating the business for two years, Michael Turtle had the fortunate opportunity to meet Jonathan Schmid, an ambitious young Coach, who was also a local college soccer star at Monmouth University. Jonathan had a great mind for business and the precise passion that captured Michael's attention. In 2010, a partnership was formed and SST grew sporadically. "We literally doubled our business, our coaches, and training staff. At one point in time, we grew so fast we were coaching more teams than we could handle. The growth was unimaginable and truly breathtaking to see our passion grow into something successful and meaningful,"​ - Michael Turtle. With the continued support and dedication from Jonathan and the entire SST staff and members, Soccer Specific Training has become one of the biggest soccer training companies in New Jersey.
