Bert Gallery

Bert Gallery, Inc was founded in 1985 by Hugo Bert and Catherine Little Bert to showcase and preserve the rich art tradition of Rhode Island. Located in the Providence Biltmore Hotel in downtown for seven years, the gallery re-located in 1992 to its present location along the historic Old Harbor waterfront at 540 South Water Street. With the move, Catherine Little Bert became sole proprietor. The gallery expanded its exhibition schedule to include regional contemporary artists along with launching a series of exhibitions of 19th century Rhode Island artists. Keeping to the mission of researching, showcasing and preserving paintings from the region, Catherine has organized over fifty exhibits dedicated to trends and styles embraced by New England artists. These efforts continue with a dedicated exhibition space, the Studio Collection, which offers visitors an opportunity to view the historic inventory and the artists' estates managed by the gallery.

Collins Galleries

Collins Galleries specializes in American traditional realist paintings from the 20th and 21st centuries with a special focus on works created directly from life. While acknowledging the importance of modernism, the painters exhibiting at Collins Galleries identify through their classical imagery, philosophy and aesthetic. Two decades of experience representing artists and placing works in major private and corporate collections, Alison Collins opens Collins Galleries in 2011.

Pacifica Writers' Workshop

Pacifica Writers' Workshop LLC provides creative writing opportunities for youth and adults through classes, workshops, camps, and tutoring. We believe that each person has the capacity for creativity and imagination. It is our great honor to have fun with them in this process. The goal of every program we offer is to have each student generate a new piece of creative work. This could be a poem, comic book, story, movie, or even a standup comedy routine. We do this by first learning about a subject through readings, lessons, and guided discussions. We immerse students further into the material through games and other activities. Then we let the imaginations of our students take over as they put their ideas on the page while instructors and other students offer feedback and encouragement on the way. The end result is a greater depth of knowledge on a subject and a sense of accomplishment upon completing an exciting task! Our classes meet in a variety of schools and community centers.
