Winchester Mediation Service

Winchester Mediation Service is a charity set up in 2002 to provide mediation between neighbours who are involved in disputes over issues such as noise, verbal abuse, anti-social behaviour, parking, etc. We have seven volunteer mediators trained to exacting national standards, and who between them have over 100 years of experience in neighbourhood mediation. We offer the service free of charge to all private residents living in the Winchester district area (see map) while making a small charge to Local Authorities, housing associations, and landlords, schools, etc. We also offer mediation to all firms and businesses in the area, to resolve conflicts that have arisen in the workplace. In 2010 the City Council appointed us as their official Assessment Service, assessing and reporting on council tenants' disputes, prior to setting up mediation where appropriate, and to date we have carried out 360 Assessment/Mediation referrals for them, with a 95% success rate in achieving lasting solutions.
