About
Connecting the dots. Sounds easy, but there are endless ways to do so.
Throughout my career, I have been devoted to the task of connecting the dots, a seemingly simple endeavor, yet one that presents an infinite number of possibilities. This passion for identifying and linking the relevant elements has been a constant throughout my diverse experiences, beginning with my previous role as a Permitting and Authorization specialist at G-Energy. At that time, I was required to connect the dots between the numerous technical, environmental, safety, and incentives regulations and a broad range of power generation projects, such as biogas plants, biomass ORC systems, photovoltaic, gas, and steam turbines.
In 2013, I embarked on a new venture as a Project Manager at Ecospray Technologies, which necessitated the application of a novel technology (EGCSs, also known as Scrubbers) in a previously unknown context, the shipping industry. The ability to connect the dots between the minutiae and the big picture was critical in developing a comprehensive understanding of the technology, cultivating the business, and expanding the team at a remarkable pace. The outcome of this effort was the delivery of over 800 systems worldwide, revenues of 50-200 M€, and the exponential growth of the organization from 10 to 100 employees.
Since 2019, I have been privileged to witness my responsibilities within Ecospray expand once again, initially as the Director of the Marine Business Unit, and subsequently, from 2021, as the General Manager. Over time, I have come to realize that the most crucial dots to connect are people. Selecting and acquiring the appropriate talent, fostering their growth through effective leadership, coaching and mentoring, creating a positive work environment, stimulating the organization, initiating innovative tools and procedures, and investing in continuous learning and development have become my guiding principles and the most satisfying aspects of my daily routine.
I began a new chapter of my professional life in 2024 when I joined Steeltrade. I will help the company grow through organizational improvements, lean methodologies, and the development of the project management and operations team.
In the technical and often austere realm of engineering, industrial machinery, and innovation, I derive immense pleasure from nurturing and leading dedicated, competitive, and high-performing teams and organizations. I firmly believe that this approach is the most effective and fulfilling method to connect the dots and make a positive impact on the world.
