Brian Reed has demonstrated success as an intrapreneur as well as an entrepreneur from Fortune 500 companies to start-ups. The common denominator has always been understanding business/customer issues and then using innovation, creativity, and technology to solve complex issues. The past 10 years has been solving problems relative to the processing of F&I aftermarket products for F&I administrators, dealers, lenders, agents and digital retailers.
Breadth of automotive industry experience includes:
✔ Building a $2 billion+ indirect auto finance company.
✔Started an Internet auto loan business within Daimler Benz that merged with competitor (PeopleFirst) that then was subsequently sold to Capital One Auto Finance (COAF).
✔ While at COAF, headed up a strategic and financial partnership in ZAG that subsequently became TrueCar. Was on the Zag/TrueCar Board of Directors representing COAF as well an independent Board Member once leaving COAF.
✔ Was Founding CEO of Pricelock that had the mission of providing fuel hedging services for businesses and ultimately consumers.
✔ Co-Founder and CEO of Intersection Technologies – F&I Express which became become the market leader in connecting F&I Providers and Administrators to the market place. Built the largest network of aftermarket F&I Providers in the industry winning many industry awards and accolades. Provided big returns to all founding shareholders in F&I Express.
Through the course of his career, conducted many interviews for the media including New York Times, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, LA Times, and Chicago Tribune, Automotive News among other major trade publications. Appeared on CNBC, The Today Show, MSNBC, CNN, and Dr. Phil, in addition to many local TV stations.
Named in 2006 by JD Powers & Associates a “Pioneer of the Internet” for establishing auto finance on the Internet.
