I’m currently navigating my journey through the fascinating world of data science as a Master’s student at the University of Maryland. My path has taken me from being a Business Analyst Intern to working as a Data Analytics Technology Consultant at PwC. Each role taught me something new about the power of data in shaping business strategies. I thrive on solving complex problems and enjoy the thrill that comes with transforming raw numbers into actionable insights.
During my time at PwC India, I was immersed in projects that enhanced my analytical skills and deepened my understanding of business processes. I had the opportunity to work with diverse teams, where I learned how collaboration can lead to innovative solutions. One memorable project involved optimizing client processes through data-driven strategies that yielded a 15% improvement in supply chain efficiency and inventory optimization strategies.
As a Graduate Student Worker Data Analyst at the Division of Student Affairs Counseling Center, I’ve been able to apply what I learn in class directly to real-world scenarios. This role challenged me to analyze student data effectively and contribute to improving services for fellow students. It’s rewarding to know that my work can positively impact someone’s college experience.
In addition to my academic pursuits, I founded a startup called Metanoia. This entrepreneurial venture was all about harnessing technology for social good. Although it was challenging, it ignited my passion for using technology and analytics not just for profit but for meaningful impact.
