I officially opened the new 2K Madrid office on July of 2020 and I can't wait till we have a full team. This is an exciting new adventure that I'm looking forward to share with a lot of people that can help 2K Games and 2K Madrid. While I face many different challenges now, my ultimate role it's still is to ensure the highest quality of the localization of all our titles and in as many languages as possible and to ensure that we can provide the same high quality of our titles in the future. Building a new studio and creating brand new teams is incredibly satisfying but at the same time very challenging. We are going to develop and maintain the culture of quality despite being thousands of miles apart from our other offices, staying sharp among all the daily and weekly tasks, etc... I have been doing this work with the same passion as when I joined 2K Games in 2007 as a Spanish tester. And I am doing this work with an excellent group of people and together we have made sure that fans of 2K Games have been able to enjoy our titles in their native tongues; Spanish, German, Chinese, Italian, Korean, Japanese, Polish, Brazilian Portuguese, French, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese... The list keeps growing. And this work helped all of our titles to be successful in the countries where these languages are spoken. If you are playing games from the BioShock or Borderlands franchises, Civilization 4 to 6, any of the modern Xcom games, Spec Ops: The Line, the most recent WWE 2K games or one of my favorite game franchises of all times, NBA 2K in any language other than English, then you are seeing the results and quality of my work and, more importantly, the work of our incredible teams. Now at 2K Madrid but still making games go around the world.
