An individual with a wealth of global experience in Automotive, Heavy Duty Truck and the Defense sectors who is able to lead multi-cultural and multi disciplinary teams.
My current position is helping a major Global Silicone Manufacturer to develop material sales in USA and Europe using my experience of silicone hoses
I have been instrumental in turning around a struggling UK Defense supplier along with managing programs that developed leading edge Silicon Etch and Deposition machines.
All of the above have been achieved by blending sound technical skills (based on my physics major), extremely good interpersonal abilities, commercial acumen and a keen understanding of how to affect a balance sheet.
My management style is to lead from the front, whilst empowering the team and nurturing their confidence to act on their own initiative; but monitoring them to ensure that decisions that will move the needle greatly are taken as a team not unilaterally
I enjoy travel and welcome the opportunity to apply my skills in new markets, both sector and geographically
