I am a graduate of MacEwan University with two credentials and several years of direct experience in professional communications. I’ve gained valuable insight into the communication needs and functions of not-for-profits, regulatory and governance bodies, professional associations, film festivals, and a complex group of construction companies with operations across Canada and the US.
My key strengths of being detail oriented, flexible and articulate have also granted me success as an administrative professional. I genuinely enjoy assisting others and exercising my resourcefulness - traits that lend themselves well to my chosen career path.
For over a decade, I pursued numerous freelance writing opportunities for several arts and culture publications. Having also volunteered with film festivals and pop-culture conventions has allowed me to hone my skills in event coordination, marketing, public relations and panel moderation, while embracing my eccentric passions and personal interests. It's been a fun and very fulfilling journey!
