My Story:
I started my career in sales and progressively moved from the business development side of the house to direct sales, and then out into the field as a named account manager. In 2018, my company needed a CSM on the east coast. I raised my hand, left the sunny Bay Area, moved back to Virginia (my home state) and never looked back.
After earning company award hardware for CSM of the Year in my first year in customer success, I realized that everything I had learned in sales made me uniquely valuable as a CSM: Revenue focused, being a great listener, understanding conversational dynamics and flow, knowing how to create a dynamite business case, and being comfortable speaking with C-level executives to software engineers.
As for technical savvy and gaining deep understanding of software products, it was these interests that made me to take the leap from sales to being a CSM. Each and every day I continually strive to earn my non-college accredited Computer Science degree through being in customer success!
My Passion(s) ...inside and outside of work:
~ Conscious Capitalism (a modern framework for profitable, ethical business)
~ Craft beer - after a hard day's work, I thoroughly enjoy the juiciest, haziest of IPAs or a smooth brown ale
~ Border Collies - Except for my 6 years living in the Bay Area, I've always had a border collie. Apparently, they're proof that dogs can be smarter than humans!
