About
13 years of working as a Data Engineer and BI developer with experience in data modelling design and development of data solutions.
I am very well versed with data warehouse architecture, data modelling design and implementation using Kimball as well as Data Vault 2.0 methodologies and have a good understanding of data warehouse, data lake and other related concepts such as the medallion architecture. In my previous roles I have also liaised with data architects/team leads in discussions around the overall solution architecture, designing data models (conceptual, logical, physical) and development of ETL/ELT pipelines along with leading and mentoring junior resources.
In terms of technical skills, I have experience of writing ELT pipelines and developing data solutions using the traditional on-premise MS BI Stack (SSIS/SSAS) as well as with Azure Data Stack which includes Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks (PySPark, Spark SQL), Azure Synapse, Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake Storage, Logic Apps and am proficient in databases and writing and optimising SQL code.
In some of my previous roles, I have also worked as a Power BI Developer and have got a good grasp of different components of the tool including DAX, power query, data modelling and creating and deploying dashboards and reports along with using Power Apps and Power Automate to automate manual and repetitive tasks.
