About
Omera Khan, PhD is a globally recognized leader, educator, and strategist in logistics and supply chain management. With over 20 years of international experience spanning academia, industry, and executive advisory, she is known for her visionary leadership, deep expertise in supply chain risk and resilience, and her ability to drive strategic transformation across complex global operations.
Omera has recently been appointed Chief of Staff and Strategy & ESG Lead for DHL Supply Chain APAC, where she is a member of the APAC Management Board, based in Singapore. In this senior leadership role, she is responsible for setting and coordinating the region’s strategic direction, closely aligning with DHL’s global initiatives and driving forward the Strategy 2X30 agenda. Her work will also play a critical role in advancing the organization’s sustainability and ESG commitments across the Asia-Pacific region.
Prior to joining DHL, Omera was Global Head of Strategy & Planning at A.P. Møller Maersk, where she previously led the Supply Chain Insights and Trends Lab. In these roles, she was instrumental in shaping Maersk’s global strategy, delivering forward-looking insights, and supporting strategic decision-making across diverse industries.
A prolific researcher and author, Omera has led multiple high-profile research projects commissioned by government agencies, research councils, and multinational corporations. She has published extensively in leading academic journals and authored several influential books, including:

She is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS). She has served on the steering committee of the Institute of Logistics Research Network and as a board member of the executive committee of the CILT “Leaders in Supply Chain” Forum—a group of Europe’s top 120 logistics and supply chain directors.
