A self-managed leader with solution oriented approach. Passionate about what I do as a development professional and have diverse experience of working with communities with grassroots NGOs, International NGOs and large CSRs. I make efforts to create enabling and empowering organization environment for effective teamwork and personal development of co-workers.
I am a Master’s in Agriculture science (MSc. Agri), awarded with Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) from ICAR, Government of India. A professional with 20 years of experience in the Community development sector with Leading Grassroots NGOs (PRADAN & ASA), International NGOs (Oxfam ) & CSRs ( Dr. Reddys Foundation & Ernst & Young Foundation), out of which ten years in senior leadership position mostly as a Second Lead. Have been part of the Senior Leadership Team in ‘EY (Ernst & Young) as Associate Director -CSR’ leading ‘Empowerment and Environment’ portfolios for the past six & half years.
Major Thematic Experience: During my 20 Yrs of professional career, I effectively led a wide range of projects on socio economic development of communities. Designed, implemented, and monitored programmes and policy advocacy initiatives on
- Natural Resources Management (NRM)- Land & Water Resource Development based Livelihood’s promotion of mostly Adivasi & Dalit families across 10 states
- Promotion of Climate Resilient Farming Practices with small holders in rainfed regions
- Build & supported community institutions including women Self Help federations & Producer Organisations
- Skill development of Rural Youth for gaining employment opportunities.
- Urban school Water Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH) programme.
- Projects on reducing GHG emission through adoption of effective (scientific) crop residue management against crop burning in Punjab & ensure water conservation through promotion of measures around rainwater Harvesting by involving community
- Facilitating collaboration & partnership with public and private sector actors including value chain stakeholders, CSOs, policy network & academics.
Overall Programme Management Experience: Formulating projects and facilitate their implementation, designing different monitoring, (MEL) & MIS framework, budgeting, grant management, managing NGO & network partners, consortiums and consultants and management of a team of professionals, managing donor contracts, facilitating external evaluation & audit of the projects. Managing compliances & Sustainability (ESG & GRI based) reporting to top management
