About
Ronald Lewis is an entrepreneur with over twenty-five years of experience in IT and management consulting. In 2015, after 20 years of working as a Principal and CTO at various firms, Lewis co-founded his first company, Intelligent Technologies, Inc. ITI is a cyber security and operational consulting start-up that specializes in working with both commercial companies and government departments. Immediately following ITI’s initial success, Lewis founded AtWork Systems, a commercial software development firm with a comprehensive suite of cloud based products. AtWork provides a shared services back-office ecosystem to commercial companies and government contractors. Ron knows how to think of organizations systematically and provide solutions to help them run more efficiently and cost-effectively.
Prior to creating his own companies, Lewis served as both the CIO and CTO of Serco, Inc., a service company that specializes in cyber security, healthcare, transportation and immigration, among other verticals. At Serco, he was responsible for developing and implementing corporate and client-facing solutions that leveraged cloud and web-services technology. He was a recognized industry leader in applying technology to solve complex business problems. Under his leadership, Serco gained successful bids for Driver Examination Services (DES) and the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT), valued at $350m and $500m, respectively.
As Vice President and Division General Manager at Resource Consultants Inc., Lewis grew the IT division from $3.5M in annual revenue to $75M, making the department the leading profit producer of the company. Prior to this role, Lewis worked his way up from Senior Associate to Principal at the Booz, Allen and Hamilton’s Northern Virginia office.
Lewis graduated with a BS, cum laude, in engineering from Boston University and an MS, honors, in engineering from Columbia University. He resides in Northern Virginia with his wife and youngest son.
