Senior Manager in Engineering Center as a Design Head, handling Design & Development of Gamma (Radical design) projects which includes. • Cost estimation & feasibility. • Design of bearings and allied products in radical design category which includes Seals, Plastic parts, Shafts, Motor, Gears and sheet metal components. • Study various applications & suggest suitable bearing accordingly. • Responsible for design and development from concept to production using tools like, design calculation & guidelines, GD & T, Tolerance stack up analysis. • Using tools like AIAG VDA DFMEA, DFSS, DFM, APQP & Problem-solving tools & techniques. • Engineering change management. • Design of bearings like ball bearing, solid race bearing, races, thrust taper roller bearing, ball cage, spherical plain bearings, steering bearing, cylindrical roller bearing & taper roller bearing. • Design of rubber seal used in ball bearings, shaft seals and cassette seals. • Life & reliability calculation for new products. • Develop design verification plan for bearing validation. • Analyze bearing field failure to find out root cause. • Interaction with global customer like AUDI, GETRAG, ZF, MERITOR, COMER, EATON, TATA, M&M & MSIL etc. along with marketing & application team for inquiry handling and development of bearings. • Hands on experience of Windchill (Product Database Management System) for more than 8 years for implementation as well as usage. • Part of Windchill up gradation team from 8.0 to 10.0. • Hands of experience on Customer online portals like AUDI, VW, Volvo, ZF etc. Experience of special purpose machine design and Automation which includes. • Feasibility &Cost benefits analysis. • 3D Modeling of Conceptualized Design in Proe/AutoCAD. • Project planning using Software MS Projects. • Installation & commissioning of machines at customer place. • Documentation of TS, ISO 14000, ISO 9001 of TDC Department [QMS & EMS audits].
